A keynote speaker for Insite 2007, Pershing’s financial products and services conference, has been confirmed: General Colin Powell, the former secretary of state.
The conference is set for June 6-8 at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood, Fla. This means it should take place right before Pershing’s parent company, the Bank of New York, completes its planned merger with Mellon Financial, set for the third quarter of 2007. If approved, the merger would create the world’s largest “asset servicer” with $16.6 trillion in assets under custody.
